Questions, site by site.
What the owners of each kind of site tend to ask, and what you can tell them.
Warehouses and shops.
Does this replace a warehouse management system?
No. A warehouse system records where stock is meant to be. Tags show where it is. The two answer different questions.
Can it watch a cold room?
Yes. A sensor tag reports temperature, and a rule sends an alert when the reading leaves the range you set.
Can individual items be tracked without a battery tag on each?
That is the job of InSight RFID, which reads labels at doors and docks and with handheld scanners. It is in early access.
Factories and secured buildings.
Does all the steel in a factory stop it working?
Metal does affect radio, which is why a floor like that should be surveyed. The survey records what the anchors really hear on that floor, and positions are worked out against it.
Do anchors need power points?
No. They are battery-powered. Only the gateway needs power and Wi-Fi.
Can it tell me who is in a restricted area?
A tag that enters a zone marked as restricted raises an alert, with the name of the tag and the zone.
Yards.
Does a trailer need its own tracker?
No. With InSight BLE it carries a beacon, which is heard by the tracker in the towing vehicle.
What if equipment is left where no vehicle goes?
It is shown where it was last heard, with how long it has been there. A listener in a yard keeps hearing whatever stands in that yard.
Which trackers work with it?
Teltonika trackers with Bluetooth, with Teltonika EYE beacons or EYE sensors on the equipment.
Which of your clients has this problem?
Tell us the kind of site and what goes astray in it. We will set out what a first installation would take, in hardware and on your platform.
